This Buttered Green Pea Mash is packed with protein, vitamins, calcium and fiber, making it the perfect recipe for little babies to grow and develop!

Proteins and Vitamins are essential for the healthy growth and development of babies. Appropriate nutrition is necessary to grow healthy and to build immunity. It’s always better to get the nutrition in a natural way rather than taking supplements.  Green Peas are called as the Vitamin Powerhouse, as they are the best source of plant protein. Peas are high in fiber and low in fat and has no cholesterol. Green peas are definitely the best for babies as they are fiber rich and filling. Green peas provide good energy for the kids to face their day active.

Buttered Green Pea Mash

Buttered Green Pea Mash is a protein, vitamin, calcium and fiber rich puree recipe, which is good for the overall growth and development of babies.

Ingredients:

  • Green peas –  1 cup
  • Butter – 1 Tsp
  • Jeera Powder – A Pinch

Method:

1. Add water in a pan.

2. Fill a bowl with the green peas and place it in the pan of water.

3. Steam cook for 5-10 Minutes

4. Mash Green peas with Potato Masher

5. Heat Butter in a pan.

6. Add Pureed Green peas.

7. Add a pinch of Jeera powder for seasoning.

8. Saute for few seconds.

9. Serve warm.

While introducing green peas to babies after 6 months, it’s important to give as pureed form. Partially mashed chunkier green peas are ideal for babies, who are 10 months or older.
