Buttered Garlic Shrimp

Shrimp sauteed in butter with a lot of garlic. One of the main dishes of Filipino Home Style
Serves 4-5
1 kilo shrimp
1/2 cup butter
2 heads of garlic, minced
2 cups lemon-lime soda (Sprite / 7-up)
Salt and pepper to taste
Marinade the shrimp in lemon-lime soda for 10 minutes
Melt the butter in a pan and heat up until it is hot enough to cook the garlic.
Saute garlic in butter till brown.
Put the shrimp, including the marinade, and cook until the liquid completely evaporates.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Served hot with rice.
