The Financial Crimes Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department on Thursday arrested a businessman who had defrauded the National Lotteries Board of Rs.15 million
The suspect is a resident of Divulapitiya in Boralesgamuwa.
A CID officer stated that this fraud has been carried to the National Lotteries Board by implementing a project of erecting 150 billboards with a value of Rs 64,679,925 in 2014
regarding the sales promotion campaign of the National Lottery Board.
The businessman was to be produced before court yesterday.
