Businesses in Houston in Fear of Possible New Shutdown

By Jen Campbell @TennisLife_Mag

Houston, TX – As the Covid-19 numbers are rising every day, many Houstonians are afraid of new possible shutdown. This affects the most the businesses in the city and they are worried about the impact of new possible lockdown.

This comes after Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner are expected to hold a joint news conference after seeing a rise in COVID-19 numbers, although we don’t have information what they are going to say.

Most of the Houston residents believe that the city and the surrounding area won’t be affected from the newest Covid-19 restrictions that will impact Galveston and other counties in southeast Texas.

“It’s hard! Everyone is just trying to survive in these difficult times.” said Sammie, a restaurant owner from Houston. She added: “Takeaway is not enough; we can’t cover even the basic monthly expenses. We need people to stay in our restaurant, to spend time eating and drinking.”

Local business owners are hoping that the local officials have ears about their existential difficulties in these hard times.
