Business Travel Tips!

When you travel the world around you, it changes the world inside you. I had a quote from my travel blog a few years ago when I was blogging the World Tour. This is true to this day, in my opinion.

I spent the last 3 months, in particular, and I often asked how I do it. How do I maintain my energy, my focus, my relationships, my health. So here are my best travel tips - try them, you will love them.

TIP # 1 - Meninal Regular Sleep Habits. This is normal for me, anyway, whether I am traveling or not. But when I am on the road, it is important for me to achieve my sleep. I adjust and go with the time I am in the field. I make sure that the room is dark, quiet, quiet and in general, when in conferences, for example, I always room alone. I know that many people take great pleasure in sharing a room when they attend events. It doesn't work for me because I get enough stimulation during business days and meetings - I don't need anyone's extra stimulation in my room for the next few hours. This is short of my time so that I can be mentally ready for a restful sleep. It also means limited electronics or TV.

TIP # 2 - Get regular exercises. These days, it may mean simply counting your steps in airports - they are huge! It takes a lot of time and takes a lot of steps. I hired a personal trainer this year and when I am at home, it makes a lot of difference. When I'm on the road, I stay accountable, do my workouts and post photos for my trainer, so I show proof of my commitment. At the very least, I do some yoga that helps with stretching after a long plane ride. I also bring my exercise DVD with me - me and Jillian Roberts - see the world!

TIP # 3 - I like good food. There is no reason to actually see the menu when I travel. I know what I eat regularly for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - now, remember my 80/20 rule. When I'm somewhere special (like in Africa - I'll get a chocolate croissant ... just saying!) - I'll try different foods. But for normal travel - I live with my regular food choices - and I rarely get any drinks when I'm on the road. This makes me sleepy. I know it. So why?

TIP # 4: I know my goal. Next to my exercise clothes, my gratitude journal is the one thing that goes in a suitcase. This is when I travel, I realize that I live a blessed life and I want to keep my attitude of gratitude.

TIP # 5: HUMOR has a type of meaning. These days travel can be frustrating, challenging and difficult. There are many things beyond my control. It is so important to have a sense of humor - and I do that by watching people. I like this! Most people's faces are affixed to their electronic devices - I just sit with my latte, and watch. This is great for keeping stress levels down. (Good quality chocolate and a Starbucks latte make me a happy traveler! - Find your happy place too!)

I have traveled a lot and will continue to do so. My travel tips are not rocket science - they are very basic and still work. Try them - you'll like them too. Business Travel Tips!
