Story: Burn starts as Melinda (Cobham-Hervey) is preparing for her daily shift at a gas station. When her co-worker Sheila (Waterhouse) makes the shift typically difficult. But robber Billy (Hutcherson) look to rob the gas station before things take a turn, leading to Melinda needing to stand up for herself for the first time in a life. Hoping her hero police officer Liu (Shum Jr) will return to help her.

Thoughts on Burn

Burn is a crime comedy that will follow the lonely gas station employee who finds herself getting caught up in a bigger incident going on. When the gas station gets robbed. Where she will look to fight back and stand up for herself in the most awkward way possible. This story will show how loneliness will take over someone, leaving them desperate for a chance to find something more in their life. Willing to do almost anything to make it happen.

Tilda Cobham-Hervey is wonderful in the leading role, showing the awkwardness in her character, showing how she is always nice to people without getting much in return, giving us a truly isolated performance. Josh Hutcherson also brings us a performance we aren’t used to see him in these types of roles before. This is a quirky movie that constantly spins everything around on us.

Final Thoughts – Burn is a quirky crime comedy that will see Tilda Cobham-Hervey shine.
