If you have one of those popular Bumbo infant seats (more than 3 million of you have had one), listen up. The Consumer Product Safety Commission wants to remind parents to keep the Bumbo’s on the floor! The C.P.S.C. is urging caregivers to not place Bumbo’s on elevated surfaces like tables, chairs or counter tops when baby is inside.
This really is common sense, but apparently not enough people are paying attention. Since a recall in 2007, 45 incidents have been reported of babies falling out suffering a number of injuries, including skull fractures. Bottom line: precious cargo on board, please use caution.
