Thad Lewis to the rescue…
I don’t have much to say about this. I’m painfully holding out hope that the Bills can run the ball, move the football and only rely on Thad Lewis when we have to. The defense needs to play HUGE today and that’s pretty much all I can ask. If the defense plays well and keeps us in the game, Spiller and FJax will have a chance to win the game for us. That’s a lot of things that need to fall right for the Bills to win. Any time you start a QB who has been on the practice squad all season instead of your backup, you know things are not falling right for you and that’s where we are at. P.S. I hate this talk about how Lewis is more athletic and runs the read option better than Tuel and that’s why he’s playing quarterback this week. That’s just about the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I want the best quarterback regardless of whether or not he can run, pass, catch, block, whatever. I don’t care that he can read a defensive end and hand the ball off. WIN THE GAME!
