BSNL Launches New IFTV Service, Facility to Watch 500 TV Channels Without Set Top Box

No set top box needed, TV can be watched through broadband. This service is called Internet Fiber TV (IFTV). As we get high speed internet today through broadband, multiple TV channels can be enjoyed with it. BSNL brought that facility today. 500 TV channels can be watched for free. Govt telecom company Ashwath can enjoy live TV channels in HD quality through broadband connection.

If your TV is an older LCD or LED TV, IFTV service is available through the Fire Stick. BSNL launched this facility in Gujarat on this day. The announcement was made by the company on the official X handle. Earlier IFTV services were launched in Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Punjab. Notably, the company first announced this service during the India Mobile Congress (IMC) held last year.

On the other hand, BSNL has recently launched a direct-to-mobile (D2M) service called BiTV in Puducherry. Where you can watch more than 300 live TV channels for free. BSNL claims that the IFTV service promises seamless connectivity and digital entertainment. It is India's first fiber-based Internet TV service. Where more than 500 live TV channels and premium pay-TV can be enjoyed in crystal clear quality without buffering.

Incidentally, BSNL has said that high-speed 4G services will be launched across the country within this year. BSNL has assured that 5G project work will also be started along with infrastructure development.
