Hitchin’s queer indie-punk rockers Brutalligators have returned with ‘Hold Fast’, the first single to be taken from their upcoming second album ‘Hold Fast’ (to be released via Fika Recordings on 21 November, 2025).
With the record described by the band as a ‘love letter to learning to accept all that life throws at you’, ‘it ‘Hold Fast’ opens with twinkly emo guitars and the words: ‘I think you would be proud of the garden, it really came alive in the spring’. It veers into a sound somewhere between Tellison and Into It. Over It. with gentle riffs, swaying rhythm and poignant self-assessment: ‘There’s a comfort in knowing things don’t get any worse right now. Gonna live in the moment’
