However, the girl’s holidays are shattered when Andras (Cronin) and his men abduct them and others on the island.

Verdict on Escape

Escape is an action thriller following a group of girls whose vacation turns into a nightmare when they get abducted by human traffickers. They learn about their kidnappers and plan their escape as they get hunted down.

This movie takes the idea of human traffickers picking off unsuspecting women and them fighting back. On this side of the film, everything is what you would expect and gives us the mix of violence and chase.  However, the subplot with the authorities searching can feel like too much added to the story. The simpler idea of the attempted escape and hunt is plenty and brings all the excitement to the movie. It has strong performances from the cast and a nice moments of character development from the girl’s past.
