Brittle Nails – Strengthen Them With Apple Cider Vinegar

Combined with honey (honegar), it has been called the “Elixir of Life”. Are you surprised? Well, at least I was when I found out what this salad seasoning can do. Now, I always have a bottle of raw (non-pasteurized) organic apple cider vinegar at home as a cure-all including my brittle nails.

What causes brittle nails?

Brittle fingernails are usually common in older people, but sometimes younger nails become thin and weak too. Mine get brittle usually during winter or when I am under continuous stress. In most cases this is due to the disturbed biochemical balance of the body and a lack of necessary minerals and vitamins.

How to cure brittle nails?

It was found that with regular consumption of organic apple cider vinegar brittle nails become stronger and healthier till the issue completely disappears.
Here are two easy and affordable homemade beauty recipes that I use in combination to fight my brittle nails:

Recipe 1: Regular consumption of apple cider vinegar

Ingredients: 1 glass of water + 1 tablespoon of raw organic apple cider vinegar

Directions: Drink 1 glass of water with apple cider vinegar 1-3 times daily for 6 weeks to recuperate the deficit of missing minerals.

Recipe 2: Mask for hands and nails

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of raw organic apple cider vinegar, 1 tablet of vitamin C

Directions: Mix well all the ingredients and apply the mask on hands and nails for 30 min. Keep doing this on a regular basis (2 – 3 times per week) till your nails return their health.
