Are your favourite dancing celebs getting you moving to the music? Well you're not alone! New research reveals more than one in ten Brits get so wrapped-up in the rhythm that they can't help but dance along in their living rooms. So to help the nation with their moves Carpetright have released exclusive how-to-dance videos with Arlene Phillips. See if you can score a perfect 10 like Peter Andre did with his Charlston.
A quarter of Brits confess that hit TV hits such as Strictly Come Dancing have inspired them to want to learn to dance and over half (52%) wish they were better at dancing. But almost a fifth (18%) think classes are too expensive and 17% say they would be too embarrassed to go.
According to dance legend Arlene Phillips: " Don't worry if you can't get to a class, there are loads of online tutorials and videos. It's easy to create your own dance space at home, all you need is a smooth floor to help you glide around the room. Carpetright found that almost a third of Brits have laminate floors so why not push the furniture to one side, turn up the volume and take to the floor?"
Heather MacMillan, from Carpetright.co.uk was inspired to get the nation dancing because "L aminate really makes the perfect dancefloor - it's hardwearing, easy to maintain and looks more like real wood than ever before."
