A British national was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport by the Police Narcotics Bureau on Monday (08), with 40 grams of cannabis and 58 cannabis seeds in his possession.
The suspect, aged 53, arrived at the airport on flight UL-504 from London. Investigations revealed that the suspect had brought the cannabis seeds with him to cultivate and consume them while staying in Sri Lanka until March. Notably, this is not the first time the suspect has been arrested.
He was previously arrested by the police narcotics bureau in the Tangalle area last year, with over 700 grams of Kush in his possession. The suspect was produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today (09).
