It has been a very busy wildfire season in Oregon. While at Roberts Field during a recent trip, I got to observe some tanker activity on the other side of the airfield. Neptune Aviation Services operates a fleet of firefighting aircraft, including six of these short-haul airliners converted to deliver 3,000 gallons of fire retardant.
