I don’t particularly like White Stripes but always had a soft spot for this track. In addition First Aid Kit are a sore spot as they’ve cancelled each event I would have witnessed them at and the only time I spoke to one of them they went as far as to say Conor wasn’t “all that”. Blasphemy! So when I heard Conor was recording a version of the track with FAK I wondered what the hell it would be like, well this is it. It’s optimistic and jaunty, a nice mix of both artist’s usually dark but success riding optimism. You’re unlikely to ever hear this live so it may well be a bit of a rarity in the Bright Eyes catalogue when it’s all said and done.
