BRICK: Ledger NFT partnership gives voting rights to music venue

BRICK is a crypto-meets-music investment which continues to strengthen the link between the music industry and the crypto space. Founded by musicians Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson, BRICK promises to be “a music venue by night and a community-driven creative space by day.” Besides, it promises to act as a metaverse music venue as well.

What we know about BRICK

BRICK is the brainchild of Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson, who toured with hardcore punk band Trash Talk for over ten years. They were inspired by the DIY punk scene and developed the concept for this new venture together.

Presented as “a music venue by night and a community-led creative space by day,” it will act as an arts center. It hopes to be a venue for live concerts, workshops and comedy shows — as well as financial literacy classes. This is because BRICK is partnering with Ledger to educate artists about crypto and crypto security.

Plus to a brick-and-mortar headquarters, this project will also purchase land in the metaverse. Here, it holds virtual concerts plus crypto classes. Overall, it is worth to say that BRICK is like a musician’s paradise.

About the BRICK Genesis Pass

The Pre-sales for the BRICK Genesis Pass began on Wednesday, September 7th and is now open to Ledger’s [L] Market Pass holders. Interested people can also join the allowlist, even if they are not a Ledger [L] Market Pass holder, and be in line for the opportunity to own a Genesis Pass for 0.15 ETH.

As reported by the official website, 50% of the mint money goes toward renting the venue and paying for planning, staffing, and other activities approved by the owners. In addition, a week after the announcement, BRICK will provide a snapshot, whereby holders can ask for a physical brick in the wall of the IRL venue.

In addition, Genesis Pass holders will have rights over what BRICK will do with the venue. They will receive free access to all events with a Plus-one, merchandise, access to workshops, and more. Furthermore, they will also have access to metaverse and live streams events, plus a token-gated masterclasses

Web3 and the music industry

BRICK is the newest in the line of music industry-meets-web3 ventures that aim to revolutionize the conventional music industry. Arguably, music’s association with Web 3 reached its peak recently when Snoop Dogg and Eminem performed a Web 3 at the VMAs. That is to say that we’re at the beginning of what Web 3 and music can gain together.
