This year’s Brewz Crewz is scheduled for Saturday, March 21. The event begins at 1 p.m. for VIP ticketholders, and 2 p.m. for general admission. It rure beer lovers can sample many of the area’s brews, as well as meet representatives from several breweries.ns through 6 p.m.
The location for the sixth annual event is the patio that wraps around the Citizens Bank & Trust Building at 402 S. Kentucky Ave. That’s right – attendees can take in the cool breezes over Lake Morton while they choose samples from among close to 100 craft beers, and enjoy live music from On the Avenue and The Detectives.
New to the event this year is a brunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lakeland Brewing Company, 640 E. Main St. The menu will include traditional and nontraditional fare. Head brewer Joe Pierce is brewing a breakfast stout to pair with the menu items, and mimosas and micheladas also will be available.
“This is a great opportunity to meet our head brewer and talk about beer on a more intimate level,” says Francis Janes, co-owner of Lakeland Brewing Company.
Ticket prices are as follows:
- VIP- $50 in advance; $60 at the gate. VIP ticket holders can enter the event at 1 p.m.
- General admission- $35 in advance; $45 at the gate. These ticket holders can enter at 2 p.m.
- Brewz Crewz Brunch- $25 in advance. $35 at the door, while supplies last.
There will be complimentary food in the VIP area, and snacks in general admission area. Additional food will be available for purchase at the event
“There are wonderful dining options downtown for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so we hope people will come downtown early, grab a bite to eat and then head to the event,” says DLP Executive Director Ellen Simms. “Or they can stay downtown and eat dinner afterward. Or both!”
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Downtown Lakeland Partnership and SPCA Florida.
