Brew Review – Flying Embers Hard Kombucha

Hard Soda,
Hard Seltzer,
Hard Cider,
Hard Lemonade,
Hard Iced Tea...

It seems that there's no shortage of hard (aka alcohol infused) beverages on the shelves these days. In other words, if you're looking to get your drink on, the only real issue you'll have is making an actual decision as to what you'll be drinking.

On today's episode of A Tasting at The Murder Table, we'll be reviewing the lastest hard beverage that landed on our front porch, i.e. four different expressions of Flying Embers Hard Kombucha, which came all the way from Ojai, California. Full disclosure, while we've seen many a bottle of kombucha on the grocery store shelves, we've never actually tried one, much less a hard one, so we went in to this tasting without knowing a thing about what we were about to drink.

Before we get to our review, here are a few words about this beverage taken directly from the Flying Embers website:

Flying Embers Hard Kombucha is a delicious, sparkling probiotic tea, hand-crafted with an adaptogen root blend of Ashwagandha, Turmeric, Ginger, and Astragalus. Our dry fermentation process gives our Hard Kombucha a perfectly balanced natural sweetness with zero sugar, and all of our amazing flavors are certified organic, gluten-free, and vegan. Experience Flying Embers, a tasty, refreshing compliment to a healthy celebration.
