HBO just announced today that the final season of Game of Thrones will not be airing until 2019 and it will only be six episodes. They have also announced the directors for the season which are: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, David Nutter, and Miguel Sapochnik.
They also announced the writers for the season will be: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, Bryan Cogman, and Dave Hill.
