This vintage brass trunk is from eBay and is one of those items that I saw and was in equal parts shock and delight that no one had purchased it. I made an offer on it, and now it’s in our living room.
It’s the perfect height for a side table. The one we had there before was so low that no one ended up using it. I think this guy was meant to be one part trunk and one part side table given its design.
Its top opens up for storage and it has this handy little drawer at the bottom as well. It also has wheels, which makes it nice because the trunk sits off the ground a bit.
It’s a good example of form meets function in a pretty gold box. I mean what more could you want from a side table?
On that note, happy weekend!
XO,
Heather
P.S. The Jonathan Adler horse tray was a wedding gift from my grandma. We love it! I’ve filled it with vintage matchbooks for added visual interest.
