One of the cheapest, and easiest options for brass kitchen splashbacks, is from Ikea, the beloved home of DIY’ers everywhere. Double sided panels, one side brass coloured, the reverse in a stainless steel colour, specifically for use as kitchen splashbacks. The panels are glued to the wall surface to create a flat surface that is resistant to heat, water, dirt and grease (but not suitable for gas hobs). Effective and cheap!
The faux tin wall panel by DIY Splashbacks is £16.00 for a panel 61cm x 46cmNot strictly gold this one – more of a coppery gold, but with a deliciously textured surface to add more twinkle. The panels can be glued onto existing tiles so are a very cost effective way of updating your kitchen walls. If using behind the hob though you will need to cover with a glass splashback to protect the faux tin from heat.
