So this weekend has been a busy one! Two of my best pals' birthdays (Kat and Mel) as well as my nephews first birthday... its been busy! On Friday night we headed to Kat's for our first BBQ of the year and she went all out with bunting, yummy treats and cute decorations! Then to my parents house on Saturday for a family get-together celebrating baby William's first birthday, where he was utterly spoilt as per. Triangle sandwiches, cadburys animals biscuits, party rings and jelly - it was the perfect 1st birthday party! I made a prettttty awesome cake (if I do say so myself) which was decorated with green piped icing, marshmallows, a Thomas the tank engine and little flags... so cute. And then finally we went to Mel's later on in the afternoon for yet more BBQing in the sunshine and chilling in a little outside den with blankets and a fire pit! Such a lovely weekend catching up with friends and family, eating too much and soaking up the rays.
And today, it's back to reality! Gym, marking and lesson planning, sigh.
