Happy Wednesday! Doesn't it feel great to already be ‘halfway to the weekend’?
I’m still shouting from the rooftops of my joy to have indulged in a real Bank Holiday weekend… #FreelancerProblems I know I said I’d take Budapest as a real digital detox but my sister (a.k.a. chief photographer of amateur outfits for Daisybutter) and I couldn't resist passing up those beautiful backdrops to create some outfit posts.
Nothing beats a great pair of jeans in any capsule wardrobe and so why should it be any different when on holiday? These W책ven boyfriend jeans arrived just before my trip, courtesy of the fab guys over at Amazon Fashion - who else is obsessed with Amazon Prime at the moment? - and they proved perfect for a balmy summer in the city.
Whilst they weren’t the jeans I asked for - this pair was what I asked for! - those extreme rips paired with my faithful New Look slides and a cropped Breton top were pretty ideal ventilation points for a day spent exploring Vajdahunyad Castle in Budapest’s City Park. The castle was built in 1886(!!) and takes on Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectural styles. And it’s pretty damn beautiful.
Afterwards, Louise and I took a stroll through the park to Budapest Festival - incredible food, drinks and sound - and then we went boating on the lake! Plus, the lake is a Bulbasaur nest, for all my fellow Pokemon trainers!
