These are my first pair of boyfriend jeans, ever. Shocker I know. Being a skinny jean kind of gal (I have 22 pairs in my closet) I have always thought of boyfriend jeans as being a bit more grunge, which as you may know from following this blog that is not really my thing (I’m not cool enough). I was at the new Silver Jeans store a couple of weeks ago and the sales associate was explaining all of the different fits and then pulled a few for me to try on (boyfriends included). I didn’t want to be rude to I kindly took her choices into the dressing room and began trying them on.
Naturally I started with the skinny jeans and of course they were an immediate yes so I moved onto the next pair…the Boyfriends. While I thought I would hate them because of the stigma I had made up about them in my head the moment I pulled them on I never wanted to take them off. Swear. Not only did they fit really well, I knew if I added my girly touch I could for sure pull them off. Although I am still trying out different ways to wear them, I know they will be not only my ‘go to’ comfort jeans but also a jean that I can dress up and still look like me (if that makes sense).
