As it turns out, this hasn’t been the best week for a read-a-thon, but at least my commute gives me a lot of reading time. (And I finally turned in my thesis!) Here’s my progress so far:
Company Town by Madeline Ashby – finished. This is a very cool book publishing this week by Tor. A mix of science fiction, thriller and mystery. It’s very strange and has a great lead character.
Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie – About 30%. This book starts out as a look at a few characters in Nigeria in the 1960s, but now it’s very intense. I love Adichie’s writing.
Dragonfly in Amber – reading the last part slowly, I don’t want to rush through it.
Rush Oh! by Shirley Barrett – I’ve really just started this book, I don’t plan to get into it until Half of a Yellow Sun is finished (and that’s probably all I can do this week).
Thinking about taking tomorrow off as a mental health (reading) day. What do you think?
