BookCon Is Coming to Chicago

By Urbanmatter Chicago @UMatterChicago

This year, BookCon will take place at McCormick Place on Saturday, May 14th.

Chicago book lovers, grab your reading glasses and get excited.

BookCon Chicago
BookCon gives consumers the opportunity to interact with authors and publishers of their favorite books while enjoying autograph sessions, Q&As, literary quiz shows and more. This collaborative event will also feature celebrity authors like Chris O’Dowd from the movie Bridesmaids and The Scott Brothers from Property Brothers on HGTV.

The author of Captain Underpants (the greatest book of all time) will also be in attendance and willing to sign your copy of his book. During the event, there will also be scheduled panels and screenings where authors have the opportunity to share their stories and experiences with their fans.

From Romance Novels to Business Books, there is something for everyone to enjoy at BookCon. This year, the literary festival features dedicated booths for the newly popular adult coloring books (which we’re pretty big fans of). Feel free to bring your children along, as authors of your child’s favorite bedtime stories will also be in attendance.

BookCon Chicago
There will also be an exclusive Meet & Greet with two very popular YouTube and social stars: Jazz Jennings and Hannah Hart. If you are a fan, make sure you enter the giveaway on the BookCon website before May 5th to win.

For the bookworms out there, buy tickets while you still can. Nobody knows when BookCon will be back in Chicago – at least not yet. Feel free to bring your own books for authors to sign, though some of them may provide a limited quantity of complimentary books for you to enjoy.

Visit their website for the full list of guests, panel & screening times, and to purchase your tickets.
