Get ready to party like there’s no tomorrow at Kettner’s on Friday 2nd October 2015 at a night of WW2 inspired revelry!
Following on from the sell-out success of our first Lights Out in April, our upper two floors will once again be transformed into a fun-filled celebration of wartime London after dark. Get your victory curls and high heel shoes on, turn out in military finery but don’t be surprised to get lipstick on your collar, and prepare to jitterbug the night away at a party inspired by roaring 40’s dance halls and the home front’s famous neighbourly spirit! What to expect on the night?
Union jacks, sandbags, oil lamps, searchlights and a wartime inspired 3-course ‘Home Front Menu’ served with a contemporary fine dining twist. Not to mention dance classes from Swing Patrol, rousing renditions of old Wartime classics with Tom Carradine’s Cockney Sing-a-long and close-up magic by Billy Kidd.
Stylish routines and cabaret shenanigans from Kettner’s favorite host: Champagne Charlie, Gracie (Gracie & The G-Spots) and showgirl sirens Betsy Rose, Ruby Deshabille and Esquire De Lune. Not to mention a cabaret invasion by golden-age crooner Frank Sanazi! Gentlemen juggling from Florian Brooks, heart-thumping live music from Oompah Brass quintet and clandestine performances by adorable close harmony trio The Hoochie Toots!
If that wasn’t enough our house band The Kings Cross Hot Club are guaranteed to get you Lindy-hopping the night away…plus London’s finest gramophone manipulators The Bees Knees will be playing on into the wee small hours.
Dressing up is not compulsory but is strongly encouraged – we want YOU to use your imagination! Dress code inspirations: allied forces chap, GI visiting for one night only, munitions factory girl on a rare night off, ladies of the women’s auxiliary corps.
