This story is the first book of the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard. I can’t say that I’m a fan but I think overall it was still a decent start of the series. I actually like the second half of the book and it makes me feel excited to read the next installment. It’s still recommended especially if you love mystery.

When each of them begins receiving anonymous emails and text messages, panic sets in. Are they being betrayed by some one in their circle? Worse yet: Is Alison back? A strong launch for a suspenseful series.
Review
I haven’t watched the show although one of my girls has been bugging me to try it out for a long time now, haha. Then a past co-worker recommended me the book so I decided to get a copy instead but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to try the first book, which is this.
I wasn’t impressed with the first half of the story. It was… what’s the right word, amusing? Annoying? Confusing? I’m not really sure. The things each of the girls did was kind of..hmm, I’m not sure but I don’t feel good about it. But I’m really interested to know what they are all hiding so I guess that’s the reason why I stick up until I reached the end.
Halfway through the ending, all the cells in my brain were slowly working and I love it when that happens. I’m not fond with all the characters and I’m not sure if I will learn to like even one of them in the next installments. All of them were kind of guilty and I can totally understand their feelings towards Ali. I am too wouldn’t be happy having such a controlling and bossy friend.
The ending was kind of exciting that eventhough I’m not that impressed with this book, I was really tempted to read the next book right away. I have a guess about what really is happening and who’s the one terrorizing the four girls but I don’t want to spoil you, so maybe next time, *wink.
It was my first time from Sara Sheppard but so far it was good. Although there were some few new words for me, I still think the writing style was good. I’m not yet impressed but I have a feeling that will change on the next books, *wink.
