Synopsis

Casey Maitland has always preferred the reliability of numbers. Now a twenty-four-year-old finance expert working in Manhattan, she wonders if the open project manager position at her company―magazine powerhouse LC Publications―is a sign from the universe to pursue a career with a little more sparkle. That is, until she’s passed over for the job in favor of the board chairman’s son.

Alex Harrison is handsome, Harvard-educated, and enigmatic. Everybody loves him―except for Casey. But when the two are thrown on the same project, what they discover about their company might change everything―including the dreams each of them is chasing and their mutual love interest.

My Thoughts

Are you looking for a book that will make you smile and give you the feels you need with what is happening in the world? Well, Clare Gilmore has the answer to that with her latest release ‘Love Interest’.  I have to say when she was able to mention ‘The Lion King’ in a way that made me chuckle, and from then on I was 100% invested.

Clare was able to write the characters so there is something in everyone to relate to. There is talk of losing someone and showing how they were able to try and pick up the pieces and move on but how it made Casey who she is today.  I also love the diversity that Clare brought to the table.  Even between Casey and Alex, there are differences.  But the way she wrote them it adds to the story and doesn’t distract from what is going on and to me it shows how different in the world everyone is as we are not all the same.

This book is a nice solid 4 stars and it was so nice to read and see the relationship between Casey and Alex form.  If you are looking for a romance novel to read before you start to really pick up your holiday TBR I think ‘Love Interest’ is the book you need to pick up.  You will not be disappointed.

You can pick up the book wherever you get your books and if you want to stay up to date on future releases that Clare does make sure to head over to her website.

**I would like to thank NetGalley, St. Martin’s Griffen, and Clare Gilmore for the ARC copy of this book. Getting the ARC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own.**
