Sypnosis:

When I got dumped by my stupid fiancé a week before the wedding, my plans involved nothing more than ice cream, a blanket fort, and a bonfire of his possessions.

But my friends convinced me that bitter tastes better drowned in Bordeaux, so I came to Paris for a single-moon.

Then I met him. He’s shown me things I’ve never seen before, and I’m not talking about the Louvre.

Is it just the seduction of Paris? Or could this be the real thing?

Review:

Before my review, I would like to channel the inner Mia in me.

Top 5 things that I love about this book:

  1. Lucas (me drooling)
  2. The story
  3. Steamy hot “sexy” scenes
  4. Paris
  5. Lucas (I’m ready haha, when you get what I mean lol)

I’ve been in a quite stressful week, so when I chose to read this book, I didn’t expected a lot. Though, of course, I’ve wished it’ll be great. And woolah! This book is sure that great. Dang! Until now I’m still stoked.

The story started when Mia’s (main female lead) fiancé, Tucker, called the wedding off via text message just one week before the big day. Right then and there, it piqued my attention. I didn’t really plan on finishing this story in just one sitting (though, it was one sitting while working in my part haha), I only wanted to read just one or two chapters, but this story is just pure perfection. I keep on setting aside my kindle so I could focus with my work, but deym! It’s just too good to be ignored. And oops! I’m sorry, I babble again didn’t I? So back with the story, yeah, after sulking, her friends suggested that she should go on with their “supposedly” honeymoon trip at Paris, alone. Besides, it’s been her childhood dream to go to that romantic place. And in that magical country, she met Lucas, and those magical “sexy” scene came to life. My oh my, I can’t help but giggle.

I’ve been acting like a complete lunatic while reading this story. I can’t help but giggle, squeal, and shout but in silence while reading this book. Why in silence? Well, let’s just say that it’s crazy reading an exciting book when there’s an audience, can you feel me haha?

This story is really PERFECT. Why did I boldly say that? It isn’t because of the abundant “sexy” scenes (though I would ALSO boldly say that it was perfectly written, omg! those “sexy” scenes with Lucas keep circling on my mind haha), but because I love how this story is weaved. I love that there’s no drama, no cliché, no unwanted angst, no annoying third parties, and absolutely no boring moments. I would highly agree on what most of readers in goodreads said, that this story is the perfect Adult Romance story evah! And speaking of abundant “sexy” scenes, I really adore the author for making those scenes so perfect. I mean, I didn’t feel violated or molested at all, I might have even enjoyed it lol. Though, I’m still not recommending it to young readers *wink.

This feeling of happiness towards the story is absolutely the reason why I don’t read book summary before reading a book. Rewarding isn’t it? Also, if I found out that this story is going to be just like Meeting Trouble by Emme Rollins because of the abundance of “sexy” scenes, I wouldn’t have dared to read it. Believe it or not, I’m not really fond of those kinds of stories, but look at me now, enjoying every bit of it, haha.

And for the characters? I don’t really have any complaints at all. Mia is perfect. Normally, when I like (well, I think I’m inlove? Hehe) the male lead, I feel hatred towards its female lead, but with Mia? Nope. I’m even sure we could be bestriends in real life. Her character is not annoying, I even like her. And did I tell you that Mia can’t live without a list? Yeah, she is! And Lucas in the other hand, my oh my! He’s absolutely every girl’s dream guy. Deym, whenever I read a line about his curly hair, all I could think of is Jon Snow, but unlike Jon Snow, Lucas did sure knows a lot, he even channeled Christian Grey here eh.

With Lucas, “Anything is possible”.

This story only introduced quite few number of characters, so it’s very easy to keep track of them, and I really like that. No overwhelming number of characters, so you’ll absolutely more absorbed with what’s happening between Mia and Lucas. But what I am really looking forward is Lucas’s point of view, oh well, I guess you can’t really have all eh?

“Fall in love completely. Let fate take over.”

I love how everything happened. I thought at first that this story is going to be plain easy, but dang! When I found out more about Lucas and his hesitation about marriage thingy, I’ve just said, yeah! So this story isn’t just about love, but will also give us some thoughts to ponder upon.

“Like I’m in love with you. And I can’t let you get away. And I’m a fool to tell you I’ll never do something when I have no idea what the future holds. I changed my mind. Anything is possible for us.”

Excited? Well, you should be. This story will absolutely blow your mind.

And oh, I’ve found out that this story have two more books. I’m still relishing this story, so I guess it’ll be a little while when I decided to finally read the next, *wink

*After reading this story, I still keep on thinking how I went this far. I mean, I’ve been stuck on reading suspense books because that’s my comfort zone (don’t have any complaints with that at all, MHC is such a legend) but now, here I am, I’ve even read Fifty shades of grey. Though if I could choose, I’ll definitely choose this one over the latter. See? It’s really not bad getting out of your comfort zone, actually in my case, it’s been pretty awesome!*

And lastly, I think Lucas Fournier deserve the title as my official fling, haha. To finish off this review, let’s toast for this wonderful story!
