Synopsis
Sophia Bertone books a six week stay at a quintessential Vermont pumpkin farm planning to perfect her rustic fall recipes for her upcoming cookbook. But after raccoons take up residence in her rental cottage pantry and the thatched roof caves in at the height of leaf-peeping season, she has no other option than to move in with her landlord, a quiet flannel-clad pumpkin farmer.
Widower Blake Jameson should keep his eyes on his pumpkin patch at the height of the season, not the curvy goddess renter who moves in with him for six weeks. If he had the funds to house her anywhere else, he would do it just to avoid temptation. She is on her way back to Dallas soon and he can’t risk getting attached, not after feeling a spark after so long. But her apple cinnamon donuts, her bewitching smile, and the way she looks rumpled in the morning sunlight in his kitchen just might have him falling to his knees to make her stay.
My Thoughts
If you are looking for that perfect Fall book to read while you are cozy under some blankets, I must say that ‘Falling In Vermont’ is that book. I am a huge fan of Elise Kennedy’s writing as she makes all the characters loveable and relatable. And this book had everything I needed and got me in that fall spirit.
Sophia needed to get into that fall vibe but found what she needed in her life. And I have to say Blake and Sophia complement each other so well. They complete each other so well. I feel like since they do so well together that makes the spice between them that much hotter. And boy did I need some water when I was reading this spice.
‘Falling in Vermont’ was such a good read that I am giving this book a solid 5 stars and for the spice level it’s a 4. When I say the spice is hot hot hot, I mean it. Elize Kennedy does such a good job of mixing the spice with the cute romance stuff that is what helps make this a five-star read. Now I have some good news if you are a Kobo Plus member ‘Falling In Vermont’ and the first book in the series is part of your membership. But do not worry, this is available wherever you get your books so you can grab the book, light a fire, and enjoy the best story you can read this fall season.
**I would like to thank Elise Kennedy for the ARC Copy of this book. Getting the ARC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own**
