Description/Synopsis:

I am finding it harder and harder to think of things to say for these books cause they all feel kind of the same and bleed into one another.
In this book we get to know a bit more about Sofia’s mother Cam. We get some back story into what she was like when she was younger and I have to say I found that whole section to be really cute and adorable. Reading these back stories really made me wonder how everyone got so bitter. In Cam’s case it was simply having a child. Cam has some background that she was raped by her stepfather or something and so she didn’t want kids, then she has Sofia and became major jealous of how much Aiden and her got along. I think this back story of the rape(s) was a bit pointless. Didn’t need to be there and it was just trying to give her character more depth and it failed.
There was also a major writing slip in this back story of Cam and Aiden before Cam left them. At one point Cam thinks while listening to him on the phone:
Aiden has gone mad. He’s Absolutely Insane. How could anybody on their right mind believe in vampires?
BUT at no point in this back story has the word ‘vampire’ been said before. That was the first time. I would like to know where she got the idea that he believed in vampires, because it sure wasn’t in the story.
Viv came back in this book and I am so happy about that. I think she is my favourite character in this series, and it was killing me to think she was dead. She gets tortured and has her fangs ripped out though. I felt so sorry for her and it made me question if they would grow back, but I don’t think so. Its never mentioned again, but I think something like this should have been answered in the book. Its a good thing Viv never drinks from a living sauce.
I found Derek pretty dumb in this book. While Sofia is away his entire world just falls apart and really it shouldn’t of. He controlled it once, he should be able to control it again without a girl that really hasn’t done all that much yet. He also kept swearing that things would never happen again, then sure enough, it would happen again.
Some of the dialogue in this book was just so cliche I cringed a little, but there were some funny moments in it too. I got relly sick of people mentioning a cure, and things got over described. Some plot development happens but its mostly just people talking about things. Yet another vampire fell in love with Sofia.
So, I read on because why not. I want to see how this all wraps up. I keep my fingers crossed for one thta gets a higher rating than a three star but I am not really holding my breathe on that.
