I love this collection of River Cottage handbooks, each one themed around a particular culinary area such as Cakes, Bread, Preserves, Fruit to name but a few.
I have the Cake and Bread handbooks which both offer not only lovely recipes that you can feel confident to try out at home, but also are packed full of top tips and interesting information around each area. For example around the best equipment and ingredients to use and importantly why to get the best results out of your cooking.
The books are a great size too, so do not take up a huge amounts of room unlike some other cookbooks and they will certainly look good and make a great addition to your kitchen/cookbook collection.
