I’ve gotten the proof copy of the book, made necessary corrections and changes, and uploaded the new copy of the first book, SmallIvy Book of Investing, Investing to Grow Wealthy. I must say, so far this print on demand publishing seems like a great thing. I’m using CreateSpace, which is an affiliate of Amazon. You can write the book, create and upload a pdf, and then there are tools for seeing what the book will look like and designing a cover.
You can then review proofs of the book electronically and/or have a hard copy sent to your home for review. I’ve done both, and I’m finding that the hard copy is critical. There are things you just don’t see when you are reviewing the electronic version. I found a few glaring errors when I received the hard copy.
The book has 11 chapters. The first few chapters cover the basics of the different types of assets, including the risks involved. I then go into a financial plan to follow for different stages of your life. This is the way to set up your cashflow to become wealthy by the time you are in your forties and fifties. Finally, I provide a review of the serious investing strategy which is a way to beat the markets with just a little bit of good luck. The book concludes with a review of mutual funds.
The book should come out early next week. I’m really excited – it’s been a long road.
