Bonniesongs – ‘Frank’

Following shows in Australia supporting Joan As Police Woman and ahead of a UK tour with Natalie Evans, Bonniesongs has shared the video for ‘Frank’ – an ode to the creature in Mary Shelley’s classic 1818 novel Frankenstein.

The Australia-based Irish art-folkster opens the song with her distinctive vocals talking of lobotomies over eerie and atmospheric strums. This helps build up a canvas of how it feels to be as misunderstood as the creature in the title:  ‘I’m afraid the creature’s on its way. Oh, it’s too late. This thing is here to stay’; ‘Nothing can be safe from me, no, nothing can forgive’. As strings surround the layered repeated words of ‘I’m a monster’, the song finishes with an atmospheric flourish as Bonniesongs assertively declares: ‘I don’t want the things you have’.

‘Energetic Mind’ is released 6th September 2019 via Small Pond Records (UK) and Art As Catharsis (AUS)

Bonniesongs will play the following UK dates with Natalie Evans:
