Meaning

    a fruitful or productive day

A bones day means a productive one. While it is by no means a guarantee, a person will say that he or she is going to have a bones day if the intent is to make use of all of the many characteristics in the body to get things done that day. However, a no bones day will be on that is going to be lazy and unproductive.

Example Sentences

  1. I am going to do my best to make today a bones day by remaining positive and resolving to get things accomplished.
  2. It is so dull and grey outside today that I think I will stay in bed and make this a no bones day.

Origin

The concept of " it's a bones day" or " it's a no bones day" is actually a new one in the English language, but it is nonetheless quite fascinating.

The idea of Bones Day comes from a Pug, which is an Internet-famous dog, named Noodle. Noodle is 13 years old and lives with his owner in New York City. That owner discovered that the Pug would spend many days not making use of any of the bones in his body. So, he took the sensation online to Tik Tok - a popular social media app. Noodle will be placed upright on his two paws. If he remains that way, then it will be a bones day. However, it will be a no bones day if he simply flops back down and returns to the bed.
