An Alaska Airline Q400 begins its takeoff roll during a gap in the Wings Over Wine Country airshow schedule. First flown in 1983, this aircraft was a product of de Havilland Canada with the designation DHC-8. With more than 1,200 Q-series delivered, the Q400 is the current production version. Operated by Horizon Air, there are 45 Q400s in the fleet. Alaska has eleven Q400 liveries featuring West Coast universities, this livery celebrates the Oregon State University Beavers.
