“If I were to get married again, this styled shoot would be everything I would want my wedding to be. Long sleeve, soft lace dress, dapper suspenders for my groom, bare feet (although I went barefoot for my wedding, so nothing really changes there) a freshly picked bunch of flowers and a wild west coast beach with some beautiful boho style.
When I talked to Melanie from All The Frills about my idea for this shoot all I could describe to her was the way I wanted it to feel. It needed to be romantic, free-spirited, whimsical, and wildly untamed beauty – her styling and florals (how drop dead dreamy is the floral archway!) encapsulated that to a tee and we couldn’t go wrong with our location – Piha Beach, one of my most favorite Auckland getaways.
To accompany the gorgeous Kelsey Genna gown, I found the stunning turquoise feather necklace at a local shop in the mall, can you believe, and the groom is almost dressed entirely from the OpShop! This was such a fun project to be part of and my wonderful team of creatives helped to pull it together effortlessly. I have a soft spot for bohemian flavor and am very tempted to start planning for my vowel renewal ceremony after this shoot!!!”
