Bohemian by Design - Layer Three: Fabric Accents

Bohemian decor is cozy and inviting. The colors, fabrics and comfort items help in making the room inviting. Strong colors, plush fabrics and diverse patterns combine to make a cohesive and eclectic place to hang out. Freestyle decorating allows you to mix furniture and accessories from several different eras.  Eclectic and colorful, a bohemian room is rich in personality and diverse in the details. 
 
The first week we covered choosing the color for your boho room then we talked about selecting the furniture now this week we will be talking about selecting the perfect boho fabric accents.
Again I will say that boho decor is a reflection of yourself , it's all about expressing yourself and people should get a strong sense of your personality when they enter your bohemian inspired room. There are a few accents such as carpets and cushions that will make your room stand out. One of them is a fabric called Kilim. Kilim cushions (and rugs) always add great color and texture. They make any place cozier and give them a bohemian flare.


Another is Jute which are made of woven jute plants that produce a glossy fiber that looks like straw. The beige color fits perfectly in any bohemian room.  When choosing curtains for your bohemian room you can select fabrics that are fun and colorful, especially if you are using Jute rugs. You can use Sarees as curtains as well, they are are all gorgeous and come in a wide array of beautiful colors. You can also use sarees to make fun cushion covers.
