Smaller airshows and fly-ins are one way of gaining some variety in my aviation photography and this weekend’s Hollister Airshow did not disappoint. Here a Stearman is silhouetted against the early morning flight line with a Travel Air in the background. Introduced in 1934, over 10,000 of these classic aircraft were produced as primary trainers for several military services. This particular Stearman was delivered in 1944.
