This gorgeous Stearman belongs to airshow pilot Vicky Benzing and was the featured full size aircraft in this year’s Hiller Aviation Museum Biggest Little Air Show that saw R/C aircraft flight performances. Introduced as a trainer aircraft in 1934, over 10,000 were built in the 30’s and 40’s and many survive today.  Vicky’s Stearman was delivered in 1940 for military flight training use.  In February of 1946 this airplane was sold from the War Assets Administration for $770.  Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600 mm.
