Dog is My Co-Pilot. This gorgeous 1940 Stearman belongs to airshow pilot Vicky Benzing and was on of the featured performer’s at this year’s California International Airshow Salinas. Introduced as a trainer aircraft in 1934, over 10,000 were built in the 30’s and 40’s and many survive today. In 1946 this airplane was sold from the War Assets Administration for $770.
