This year was the premier appearance of the US Navy’s newest aircraft at Fleet Week. This P-8A was only delivered this past August. The P-8 is a militarized version of the 737-800ERX with 737-900-based wings. First flown in 2009, the P-8 Poseidon entered service in late 2013 and more than fifty are currently in service and will eventually replace the U.S. Navy’s remaining 100 P-3C Orion aircraft. Side note: all that blank gray space is begging for squadron colors. Nikon D500 w/ Tamron 150-600mm processed with Aperture.
