The Army crew of this Chinook might have had second thoughts about coming to the Hiller Aviation Museum’s all helicopter HeliFest event when they saw that the only tug available was in Navy colors. The CH-47 is among the heaviest lifting Western helicopters and this new model has a top speed of 195 mph, making it the world’s fastest military helicopter. The F-model is a rebuild effort of the CH-47D and to extend the model life to 2060, although there are many F-models that are all new airframes. These new Chinooks also sport a new color optimized for forest, desert, and sky backgrounds. Nikon D500 w/18-200 mm, processing with Aperture.
