A Stearman takes off for a flight demonstration during the Wings Over Wine Country Airshow. The aircraft name and designation varies depending on the nation and military branch flying it, most common being the PT-17 built for the U.S. Army Air Corps. First flown in 1934, more than 10,000 of these training aircraft would be produced in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Stearman Aircraft became a subsidiary of Boeing in 1934. Nikon D7000 w/80-200mm.
