A Qantas Dreamliner on final approach after almost 13 hours of flight time from Sydney.  These new aircraft are replacing their 747 fleet on long haul flights, a task which should be completed in 2020.  Qantas has named their aircraft since 1926 with a variety of themes, the Dreamliners are named after uniquely Australian subjects.  This 787 was the first to be delivered and was named “Great Southern Land”.   A China Airlines Cargo 747 freighter is in the background, one of 18 747-400s in the China Airlines cargo fleet.  Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
