A China Airlines 777-300ER taxies in after a dusk arrival at SFO. China Airlines is the state-owned flag carrier of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and operates ten of these long-range 777’s in their fleet. This airframe is the world’s first co-branded Boeing 777, wearing a livery that combines the Boeing factory design with China Airlines. First flown in 1994, the 777 is the world’s largest twinjet and utilizes the largest-diameter turbofan engines of any aircraft. The 777-300ER features raked and extended wingtips, a strengthened fuselage and wings and a modified main landing gear. The -300ER is the best-selling 777 variant with more than 800 delivered.
