Boeing 767-300, Amazon Air

@ San Francisco, CA

January 2021

My first sighting of an Amazon Prime Air cargo aircraft at SFO, though disappointed that this aircraft hadn’t even had a chance to get the Amazon livery before starting service.   Amazon Air, formerly known as Amazon Prime Air, is a cargo airline based in Hebron, Kentucky,  In December 2015, Amazon announced that it would begin its own cargo airline in order to expand shipping capabilities and began scheduled operations in March 2016 with 20 Boeing 767 aircraft (current fleet is 77 767 aircraft).  In December 2017 the airline, which had been known as Amazon Prime Air, announced its rebranding as Amazon Air to avoid confusion with Amazon’s Prime Air drone delivery service.  Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
