@ Narita Airport, Japan
October 2024
One of six 747-8F freighter aircraft in the Polar Air Cargo fleet climbs for altitude after departing Narita Airport in Tokyo. This is the last freighter version of the iconic 747 airliner, with lower operating costs than the 747-400F and increased range. Boeing would deliver 107 of these 747-8F aircraft. The final 747, a 747-8F destined for Atlas Air, was rolled out on December 6, 2022, marking the end to over 50 years of 747 production. Polar is jointly owned by Atlas Air and DHL.
